Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) better known by her professional name Ari Lennox is an American artist and singer hailing born in Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be associated with J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. Her first single was released with the label on October 21 2016 titled Pho where she gained notoriety. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album, debuted on the 7th of May, 2019. Ari Lennox first released songs online in the year 2012. The singer released her debut album Ariography and her mixtape debut in 2013 with Five Finger Discount. In 2014 she continued to share her music over the internet, including her self released single Bound. The song Sweat it featured on Omen's Elephant Eyes album on July 21 2015. J. Cole asked her to join him in collaboration for Rihanna's reference. In the following calendar, her songs was circulating throughout Dreamville. It was announced on December 8, she signed with Dreamville Records. Backseat, a track she sang together with Cozz in the Revenge of the Dreamers II collaborative album. In October of 2016 the singer-songwriter released her debut EP Pho. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as opening the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017, in which she joined by EarthGang. She also appeared on the songs Nothing but the Best by EarthGang and Icarus with Bas, her labelmates. Ari Lennox's first album Shea Butter Baby was released on July 16, 2018. The first single, Whipped Cream of the album was released on the 5th of September, 2018 and featured a a music video. Her second single, Grampa on November 9. The 13th of November, she dropped two singles titled The No One as well as Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released in her debut single February 26, 2019, for the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby appeared along with Cole on the Creed II sound track on November 16. A music video debuted on February 20, 2019 in conjunction with the song. Within one time, it was viewed more than 3,000,000 views. The singer was a supporting artist for 6LACK during their From East Atlanta With Love Tour during December 2018.
